Influenced by the musical resonances within Palásti's poem, Young embarks on an endeavor to encapsulate the rhythmic ebb and flow of the tide, evoking the image of an erratic metronome. Panni Palásti's generous contribution of her beautifully crafted poem has been instrumental in shaping this work.
The composition begins with captivating, solitary vocals. As the piece progresses, a piano gradually emerges, complementing the haunting motifs in the lower register and introducing delicate melodic fragments in the upper registers.

This subtle balance paints an emotive sonic picture, reflecting the poem's inherent rhythmic and emotional nuances.
